The Mount Pleasant House has been designed to incorporate passive design principles that connect the house to the external environment all wrapped up into a beautifully textural, industrially styled home.
The home spans over three levels to integrate with a heavily sloping site and designed to minimize retaining. The brief from the client was to have the home unravel as a procession through different spaces that would lead them to an expansive living area connected to the outdoors. There was also a requirement to have the home zoned to allow for long-term guests and flexible spaces that seamlessly connect to the external environment. A high level of individual detail is brought into the design through steelwork which references the client's love of Harley Davidson motorcycles.
The home utilizes cutting-edge building technology that massively reduces the heat loading on the house and also cuts maintenance in half.
The project began construction in late 2017 and we will be keeping you informed on the process through our Instagram and Facebook pages.
